I have never seen the show, so I don't know what it stands for, so I did not vote.
I like Tim Allen, but the home improvement rif got old for me.
I thought his Star Trek knock off film "Galaxy Quest" was great.

I agree. "Galaxy Quest" was one of the cleverest and funniest movies ever.

I'd rather have Tim Allen come back as Tim the Toolman. Once I see an actor star on a 5 year TV series or more, I cant stand seeing them on another show, That's why I stopped watching NCIS when they came up with a bright idea of Bull, Michele Weatherly. I wont watch Debra Barone on that other show either, same with Andy Griffith, Jed Clampett, etc. Only ONE actor got away with another character, Michael Landon on Little House, but then I still prefer him as Joe Cartwright.

But I dont mind actors making a movie on the big screen, but not another tv show, it's a medical condition I have some sort of syndrome.

We like to watch British TV shows, especially the murder ones. :shocked: But the murder shows have to be very formulatic and not realistic. One of the reasons we like the shows is that we will see the same actors in different parts from time to time which makes us try to figure out what other show they were on. These are usually actors that do one episode but we just saw on show, were for a very short periods of time, a regular on another show was playing a part. He was only shown for seconds at a time but it was enough to recognize him. In the regular show he plays a police officer but in this one episode he was playing a drug/booze smuggler. :laughing::laughing::laughing:

One of our all time favorite shows is Nero Wolfe that was done back in the 90's on the A&E network when A&E stood for Arts and Entertainment instead of crappy reality channel X. One of the great things about Nero was that the actors around the main characters would play different characters from episode to episode. One guy might be the head of the FBI in NYC in one or two episodes but then he was a business owner in the next show. It really allowed you to see how good of an actor they were to go from part to part in the same show. :thumbsup: Many times you could not recognize them either. :thumbsup:

But actors do get typecast. Kinda hard to think of the guy who played Jethro being anybody but Jethro. :laughing::laughing::laughing: But actors can break the typecast. The actor who plays in the new Father Brown series was one of the important characters in the Harry Potter movies. When I heard that they were going to restart the Father Brown series, which I like and remember my grandparents watching, I was not happy. But the new Father Brown, both actor and series, is pretty good.

Well my post to this was deleted previously due to political discussion issues so hopeful I can reply again without offending some of you and reporting me to the moderator-it was never meant to offend anyone-just pointing out my stand and why I made the stand. I just wanted to say for reasons I recently read in the news which had me concerned(and you can read up on them yourselves if interested as to why)...I cancelled my 4k Netflix subscription and signed up for HULU...they are playing reruns of Last Man Standing. My reasons for canceling Netflix and supporting one of my fav. comedy shows and actors is one and the same.
I understand this is not political topic and there is a Friendly Politics section for some of it....
If you still have a problem with my post please message me I have no problem with debates and hearing other peoples opinions.
