No bio in the tank and I'm going to keep an eye on the Trans. As a matter of fact, I drained the original T fluid into a 5 gal clear drinking water jug and sealed it. I think I'll call my dealer and mention it to them. They seem pretty responsive to me when I'm over there for any service related items. I bought all the factory BX manuals. The strainer had a grey slime on it when I removed it for cleaning, not clogged, but a definite contaminate of some substance on it. Sorta like brake shoe dust suspended in oil. If that makes sense?

The fuel filter wouldn't concern me as every fuel filter I've changed on my current truck and previous truck had that same dark grey/black appearance and when I first looked into it about 14 years ago everyone on the truck boards told me it was normal for the fuel filter to look that way. Almost 200,000 miles between those two trucks and almost 400 hours on my Kubota with no fuel issues. My transmission fluid appears to be pretty clear but I'm getting ready to do the 400 hour fluid change any day so I'll know more soon. I wouldn't worry.

Probably iron filings -- very normal to see that.

Keep in mind that the fuel filters in the BX are tiny and don't have a water trap. Mine clogged up as I said in less than 200 hours which is before recommended change period.

In the first 200 hours I had all kinds of black gunk and steel/brass filings show up in all three fluids. Went through a few filters and extra UDT changes; but now have no more problems at over 1K Hours. Fluids stay clear between changes, except the lube oil. There are some old threads of mine that have more detail. Bottom line! Do not trust then factory QA program. First thing started at the 50 Hour, wound up changing the UDT at that point.
