Late 90\'s NH versus Kubota Loader work 4Wd 3 cyl

Can anyone give me advice on the reputation and loader work performance on the New Holland 1720 tractors and or the Kubota L2350(with 1100 hours 1996). I bet that many hours, despite regular maintenence, is asking for trouble. I am getting opposite opinions from dealers that actually carry both lines despiet the larger HP of the 1720 @ 28 HP versus the 2350 @ 23-25 HP both Diesel 4WD. The 1720 is a 1997 with 300 and a $1000 more with a loader than the L.
I realize that torque rise plays more into this as well. Thanks for your help.
Thanks

I would pay a grand more for a good 1720 over a good 2350 with the same hours, let alone 800 hours less. Not that 1100 hours is a lot, I just prefer the NH in this comparison. 1720 and 1920 are arguably the best compacts Ford/NH ever built. This choice is a no-brainer to me.

I have a friend that has a 1996 1720 that he bought new and has not had a lick of trouble with it. With routine maintainance it should give you years of service and enjoyment.

Really appreciate it. With my luck by the time I have talked about it the 1720 is gone. I was told by a dealer to watch for the 1720's PTO teeth missing from using a Tiller. Any word on this potential weakness?
If I hadn't just bought an 01 F250 crew diesel 4WD and clearing for a new pole barn I would open up the wallet and buy a friends 02 195 hour TC 35 with toys. Accept that he has a new $3200 Cab instead of a loader that I need. So I will soon post this new tricky Cab for NH's and see if I can work the deal a bit backwards. Though it would still be a 14K plus entry point I am sure. I can't wait to stick a stinky cigar in my face and move some dirt, even in Mo.'s rainy fall and winter days.
Thanks again

My friend has used a rototiller on his for all his gardening and landscaping needs and as of yet has not had a problem. That's not to say that something bad couldn't or wouldn't happen it's just that his has been rock solid for him. This past summer he bought a FEL and has been wondering why he didn't get it years ago.

What about them Cardinals !!
Still shoppin. Which one to consider Older 4 cyl for the price of a newer 3cyl less HP from a NH 1920(1990) versus the 1720(1998) is the issue now. Found a couple of nice 1920 4WD 4 cyl and need help determining if I should stay away from a 1990 with unknown hours yet pampered . It was known for the past 10 years to only move mulch around. There is a oil leak after running that maxes out at 2" around the hydro pump. Several other seals new hydro and power steering pump have been replaced. Good brakes and performance TBD. Your opinion is apprecaited and not held liable. So you can basically lie like horse traders and I can't do a blasted thing.... Thanks again folks
