After my last shot with updates, I don't do it anymore, my IT handles it for me via remote desktop. I'll get an update notice in m y notification box or Cortina will tell me an update is available (my laptop talks to me and I talk to it as well) but I do nothing and my IT handles all the downloads and he decides what is downloaded, not me.

You're lucky Windows updates are done by 'Big Brother" since those updates are time consuming, notorious for causing problems. Microsoft basically uses the Home Edition to recruit unpaid testers. :teacher:

I'm actually piggybacked on his professional license. I have the full suite of programmers tools on this unit and I don't have a clue how to use any of it....lol This unit even talks to me and I talk to it, Has facial recognition too. Has a huge chipset hard drive that I've used may 1/10th of... Oh well, go big or stay home. You don't even want to know what it cost. My wife wasn't happy but it is family after all. I know about the windows issues, why he handles it now. I really pooched it myself. Better I don't fiddle with things I know nothing about.
