How about cops who like to beat women? Even if the police apologists could justify the first time this handcuffed woman was thrown to the ground ...... because she exited her vehicle, lets hear the excuses for the second time and then the 'fist bump' afterward.

If this were your wife??

Obviously, these officers had no idea the whole thing was caught on camera.

LAPD commander removed in probe of rough arrest - Yahoo! News

First, if this had been my wife, she has bettter sense and is more of a decent person than to get out and curse the officers. She doesn't curse anyone.

Police apologlists? What's that? We don't have all the facts yet, but as their police chief said, it doesn't look good. We've fired officers for less, and filed criminal assault charges on top of the firing, assuming the video is real. No one (I'll repeat NO ONE) wants to be rid of the bad officers more than other officers.

At least in my day that is the way it was....I sure hope things are still the same...back then...60's and 70's we did not tolerate police brutality ( trust me ...you know it when you see it ) and this was police brutality..no matter what she said....this was flat wrong and I only hope the LAPD officers do want to rid themselves of the bad apples...we did in my day like Bird says...

So, lets just speculate she called them 'expletive, expletive, expletive pigs........ would that warrant slamming her to the asphalt on her face?

with one of these cops being on the job for 22 years......... it appears no one on that force has wanted to be rid of him.

Only thing worse than a woman beater is a woman beater hiding behind a badge.

(edit) I don't give a crap what she said to them, this is DISGUSTING.

After watching the video again ..if I were her husband I don't think I would ever rest until I beat that COP to a pulp...Vengeance is best served cold !

Nothing she could say would justify such action, but it might tell you a little bit about what kind of person she is.:) And 22 years on the department? Just how is that you know this isn't the first time he's lost his temper and done something like that? I'd be the first to admit that it's a bit unlikely, but if you're ever arrested for, or even accused of, doing something illegal, I guess it'll be OK for everyone to assume that you've done it before? Gulity until proven innocent, right? Ain't that the way it's supposed to work, according to you?

Most likely the department knows if the office is a "thumper". In 22 years, it would show up in his personnel file.

But, there are lots of events that can stress someone, including LEOs, to the point they do things they would not ordinarily do. Divorce, loss of a child, house burns, onset of illness - just to name a few.
