Lawn Stripers

I have a JD Z-Trak 54" mower and want to add a striping kit. Any ideas on what is the best or is there a good DIY version?

The jd strip kits are pretty simple in design. L brackets and broom heads or snowbrushes? It might a little hillbillyish!!!

I have been thinking about making a striper for the BX. I think a lot of them are made out of boat rollers.
