This is the first year I ever fertilized, and the pictures were so close to the day I fertilized, it hadn't made a difference yet. I fertilized about 1-1/2 acres with a mix from the local Farm Service for about $40 for a big garbage can full. If I went Scotts or something, it would cost $300 for the same (or less) results. Now I mow twice a week as I read that you should cut off less grass blade length, and more often. That is may plan to get this farm-field lawn in shape. It seems to be working. At 1hr 15min to mow each time (on a diagonal), I can get some seat time, and some tranquility... not to mention the satisfaction. By the way, yes it works on clover/dandelion, but the results are better with grass. I have no special lawn, just field grass getting it's butt kicked into shape.
