Lazenby\'s Equipment

Has anyone on here bought a tractor from Lazenbys? They are located near Gainesville Fl. I live about 300 miles away from them, so before I go check them out, I was wondering if I could get some feedback from a past purchase from somebody. Any info would be great!

I bought a YM1610 from Scott approximately 1 month ago. So far my only problems have been minor such as brake adjustment,(easy) And freeing up the check chain adjustment linkage. My tractor starts easily and runs great.

Scott has approximately 50 Yanmars on hand at any given time and his employees clean them up, repair most systems and repaint.

He also sells new Branson tractors.

I found Scott easy to deal with

One thing I might point out is that if you are traveling a long distance,(I think you said 300 miles) You should probably call Scott first and discuss your needs and wants and budget. Most of the tractors he had on hand had yet to be reconditioned. We picked mine out, then I had to wait 5 days till it had been cleaned up. repaired,painted and put back together.

A call might prevent the necessity of making two trips. He had maybe 6/8 tractors cleaned up and ready to go on the front of the lot when I was there. A lot of those have already been equiped with new FELs. This is not including his new tractors (Bransons and an Indian tractor Enrich???) He also had a 94/95 Kubota when I was there last.

Gary, You saved me 600 miles of travel with that advise, much appreciated. This is main reason I love the internet, you meet (kinda) so many people with the same interests, that love to give good sound advise.

I cant wait till I learn more about these so I can share my experiences and help others

I have not bought from Lazenby's. I bought my 2010 from Fredrick's Equipment in North Alabama - have been completely satisfied and it came with a 6 month warranty. I would buy from him again. I just sold my 2010 to replace with a 4WD version and add a front end loader. There are also a couple of other dealers in North Alabama I have ready good things about: Maynard Equipment and Artec Tractor. I am in the Florida Panhandle about 45 minutes East of you in Marianna. Be happy to answer any questions or give you the benefit of my experience with a Yannie.

I originally brought a 1510D Yanmar with a trailer and implenments from Scott around early november, the yanmar ran and looked good but didn't have the muscle and it's small size in the driver seat to suit my tastes. Scott gave me a full credit back on the 1510D and made a generous offer on a Branson 3510. Since I'm a city boy with little mechanical ability, Scott say I would not be happy with anything less and he was right. The 35hp 4WD Branson plows thru dirt or anything else that its in it's way and it has a ton of room on drivers cockpit. I think for you it would be a wise and enlighting trip to see Scott and his crew. Best of luck on your search and tractor purchase.
