A few days ago I helped my dealer put together two LB1914s for a customer that is a major wholesale supplier of lumber and industrial equipment. This company has two 1985 model 1914s they have used since new, every day, 6 days a week, all day long for hauling everything around their huge yard, and claim they've never had any major work done. I'm hoping to be able to get one of the older units to use just for mowing. They've never even used the 3pt hitches on them as they have their own setup for pulling.

John, if you feel like making a road trip to Maryland there is a 1914 setup to mow. $6500 and I think it has around 500 hours on it.

While I wouldn't mind seeing beautiful Maryland again, that's a long haul. I'm hoping to get one of these for less. I need to check tomorrow.

When we delivered those units they took the 3 pt arms off and screwed a plate on locking it in 3rd gear and removed the 4 wheel drive engagement lever leaving it in 2 wheel just like their old units.
This was done within minutes of unloading.

PS: they have a fairly new New Holland split in half with a bad gear box. Maybe this swayed them back to the 1914's.

were you able to find out if they're going to sell the old ones, and what shape their in?
So they just simply stay in 3 and shuttle back and forth. They'll sure get a workout.
