Leak on Steering Cylinder/Ram

Hi

Has anyone experienced the removal of the steering cylinder on the C-IH 574 series tractors? I have a small drip now and want to prepare for the eventual fix. I have the parts manual available but am interested in how to remove from the tractor to change the seals. Particularly interested in any tricks, special tools or "watch for..." type help.

Any and all help would be appreciated.

Ill be watching this thread, too. The cylinder on my Case-IH 385 is dripping some and I think they are the same. I'm also wondering how you get into them after removal. It might be obvious once you get started, but there is a little anxiety about the unknown.
