There is only one fuel line. If you look close the other line is a plastic cover over theelectrical
lines going to your fuel pump (which is just ahead of your fuel filter). You can get barbed hard plasic couplings that will slip into the rubber hose (after you have cut the fuel line in half). Put two new fuel line clamps on each side of the barbed coupling. The rubber fuel hose would be a lot of trouble to replace from the tank to the filter.
Oh by the way: You will want run your fuel way down before you fix this leak. When you take that line loose or cut it the fuel in your tank is going to drain out through that hose. You will want to catch this fuel in a container of some sort.
There are 2 lines strapped together with ties, both are covered with the ribbed hard plastic cover. The fuel pump wire is tiny compared to the size of the 2 fuel lines and it is exposed running with the 2 fuel lines. The return fuel line is the smaller one and the Kubota service man says it's !/4" but I got a 1/4" barbed connector and the next sized up one in case it's to small. I don't want to cut it and then find out it's the wrong size. One comes into and out of the filter and the fuel pump and it's a size bigger than the other one that is leaking fuel thru the rubbed part.
Not sure a brass fitting connecting 2 pieces of a rubber fuel line can be considered a temporary fix/semi permanent? Guess that one confuses me because I'd say it will outlast the rest of the rubber line.
These tractors are SCUT's so everything is very compact and very close. The rubber boot over the drive shaft had come loose or was never installed correct and had slid back. Assuming it turned with shaft and rubbed the hole in the fuel line and the plastic cover over the fuel line. That's where it was when I got under there. Pushed the boot back on and it sort of locked into it's slot. Will keep an eye on it to see if it comes off again till I forget:) or get tired of doing it like we got tired of shaking our boots out in Viet Nam checking for spiders until someone got bit then we'd do it for a few weeks. A longer hose will just creat other issues since evrything under there is in it's place and no where else to put it without other possible problems. Sub compact, that's what they are called and that what they are. Remember old radios and now with a Mp3 player you can carry around thousands of songs and pictures in something the size of an tiny matchbox. Progress, ain't it wonderful.:D

The broken zerk is in the side of something that looks like a post near the front or rear edge of the mowing deck.
Thanks for clamp advise, someone, maybe you had mentioned that before.

Stole this picture. But in this picture on the right side is the fuel filter and the return hose is wrapped with it up to the filter then the return hose goes beside the filter. Mine does not have this fan cover plate.

You are right. I had said there was no return line, but there certainly is. Your warranty should take care of it.
I took time to change my fuel filters on Friday. I made the mistake of clamping the hose to tight with the visegrips. Pinched the fuel line. Live and learn.

Fixed it this evening. $1 1/4" barbed coupler and two 11 cent clamps. Not going to file warranty claim.:)

Used the smallest screw extractor in the $19.95 Lowe's pack yesterday and it had it out just about before I could stop the drill. Installed new one and MMM is back on tractor and mowed some.
