Tractor
Kubota BX 2360
Things I have clipped with my bucket in my 1st week of ownership..
Trailer while swinging in to get more mulch, garage trim while backing out of garage and turning to not back into my truck, house trim while parking the tractor....grrr.

Grew up operating a tractor, that wasn't much small than my BX, but 1st time owning a bucket...

youve have to get used to the fel bucket.

It's a zen like moment when you feel like the FEL is an extension of your hand... With a toothbar, extra fingers ;)

I also think the turning radius is tighter than I am anticipating.

I poked a 2 inch gash in the side of my pole barn last year. Won't happen again - I hope.

All part of the learning process.

I've also done as all I can say is tip toed in a bad way trying to pick up too much weight at a corner of the FEL only to find he back end come up and pivot on one of the front tires. Luckily just as fast as it happened I reacted in reverse to get out of the situation... However it reaffirmed the need for proper ballast in the back, and seat belt and ROPS... Pic shows my water tank that doubles as my political bumper sticker billboard in the summer and connects to a PVC pipe and doubles as a poor man's zamboni in the winter.

Vinyl siding will slice with the tip of a bucket. Cement board siding will break with a bucket tip. Small trees will get slices up their trunks as the bucket edge slids up them as they are being layed down. There's more but I'm trying to forget them.

I backed the old Farmall up to the house one day to put air in a tire and bumped the door with the hydraulic reservoir, lol. Those four dints from the bolts where there till last year when I did the new siding. Your not alone I try to take it easy around the house, lol.

I've never hit anything with my FEL.... however, there have been a few stationary objects that have jumped out in front of it. :D

There have been a few trees that have borne the scars of my FEL indiscrestions . It has been a while, but it happens. The wife wacked one not too long ago after I got the 66 inch QA bucket, She said "whoops, that thing sticks out a little further". Yep about 3 inches on each side.

Your bucket doesn't hit things. things hit your bucket and luckily your bucket is strong enough not to be damaged, lol. I was lucky as I was broken in with my larger Case backhoe. However the ROPS is what will get me someday.

I just spent 3 days on the tractor at the rental house and finally convinced myself to only work to within a foot, leave a hill or valley, and get off and do it by hand. It's actually quicker to get ready for and do hand work than to position and gooo sooo sloooow and careful I don't brush anything. If I plan and position and use a flat nose shovel its very quick and not very hard to chuck into or out of the bucket.

Ripped a close line down with the rops :ashamed:[/QUOTE

Came close to doing the same. After the second time duckig under the clothing hanging on it I remembered the rops....

Guilty of hitting things with my FEL also. Garage door trim, metal pole of carport, trees, etc. Very little damage and it doesn't take long to realize that thing sticks out there quite a bit. Tend to look close at the FEL after that. Of course that's when I hit the roof overhang of the chicken coop with my roof canopy. Only scratched the canopy but ripped off the roof edge of the chicken coop. However, the tree branch I didn't pay attention to did break the canopy bad enough that I had to replace it. $500 for the Kubota top. Needless to say have to look up, as well as down, in front of you.

Pulled down the bird feeder with the rops last year while mowing.....but at least the rops was behind me as I passed the feeder, so I felt like I had a bit of an excuse...

Next time maybe I'll mash it with the hoe? Tractor pinata? See how far the seed scatters?
