Another crazy question from me. Are you getting tired of them?

What is your lease used attachment and why. Mine is probably the light material bucket (LMT). I have the 4 in 1 and the grapple bucket and they do most of my bucket needs. The only thing I use the LMT for is taking sand, gravel, or dirt long distances. It's not a bad attachment, just a rare use.

The spike aerator is also rarely used. It has such bad press, that I wonder if it does any good. I did use it this year and am tempted to convert it to a roller or a plug aerator. Anybody have any comments on this? Is it worth using as is.

I find that my use of attachments goes in cycles. Once I start using something I seem to keep finding new uses for it. Used the grapple bucket to take out the window air conditioners. Yeah I know that's just down right lazy!!
I'm thinking of hooking up the stump grider, dressing up and roaming the neighborhood on Halloween!

I thought about taking the minihoe, tying the grass buring torch to it (500,000 BTU) and putting a dragon head on the side. Sounds a little dangerous though.

What different other uses have you found for attachment. I did use the forks once to turn off a light switch.

As mentioned, attachments seem to be used by season with a few on a year around basis. So far I have 15 attachments with the boom pole and cement mixer being used the least. Each has a purpose but used the least amount.

Are there any attachments which you wish you had not bought and could not justify at this point? Why?

Sure....wish I got the LMB & tooth bar instead of the rock bucket and Pt teeth. Many times I'm moving material around and half way through I think I could be done by now with the larger bucket!

My least used attachment is the Post Hole Digger 6" auger.
I use the 12" auger to plant bushes.
I got the 6" auger to plant fence posts, haven't had the money to get the posts yet.
But it will be used tons when I do.

I’m finding my least used attachment so far has been the after market tooth bar. I like having it around but, find when digging with it, the dirt does not compile into the bucket or dump out as well. I get a more precise control with the rock bucket straight edge. For my uses the tooth bar works better as a rake in heavy brush, pulling up briers and scooping up logs.

I find the most used attachment other than the bucket are my forks, I’m so glad I bought them. The wife laughs at me. I drive down to the road and pick up my trash cans with them. I even get in a little practice by scooping the plastic lids off the ground. I know the neighbors think I’m crazy, and there just might be something to that.

It looks to me like most people are satisfied with their attachments and use most if not all of them at least occasionally.

Does anyone have any comments on how well the spike aerator helps grass grow? I know it can put slots in the ground, but does the grass actaully grow better?

Would this question also refer to the plug aerator? If so then it is one of the best to promote growth. Getting ready to do my yard again right after the next good rain.
