It's not raking leaves that is such a hassle to me, - it's picking them up and moving them to compost ......unless....If I line the grapple with fence wire and then ......darned if it don't work.:laughing::thumbsup:

When I made my bucket grapple I also fabricated a "leaf compressor"...it uses the same cylinder set up as the grapple but it compresses the leaves into the bucket...

I used to rake huge piles of leaves onto large tarps and bundle them up and drag them off...now I can compress more leaves than I could get on a tarp in one trip...

I will be hooking the compactor up in the next couple of weeks...will post some pictures then...

Here was my solution to move large piles of pine needles!
Two bolts and a strap hold the scoop to the bucket and it will move a lot of pine needles and is easy to rake them into it.
