This is some good info, I feel better already. As I was blowing the leaves yesterday, I kept thinking "I cant wait to get on TBN and find out if there is a better way to dispose of these leaves". I am looking forward to next week now!

I made a discharge block for my rear discharge mower that bolts on with 3 bolts.

Install it at end of season & mulch my leaves.

I don't know that this is very original - I let Mom Nature cover my camp roads with a nice Fall carpet. She seems to take care of them every year - they are good fertilizer.

This is exactly the way I do it.....However, I take the rear safety chains off /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif and it moves a lot of leaves. Actually, I had intended on posting on this technique. Glad you beat me to it.

Currently I use a lawn sweeper, I have to stop on occasion but it does a surprisingly good job. And it is a Craftsman!

One thing about mowing leaves is that they do a good job of cleaning your deck for the winter as well. I usually mow the leaves then oil deck for winter storage. (this provided your deck is not caked with old dead grass)

I use a fan shaped collection device powered by an arthritic old coger engine. They then go to the garden where they are spread and have nitrogen added to them. Next we switch the power head over to the long digger attachment.

It all works well but on a hot day that old engine sure seems to burn a lot of malted fuel.

Man, that worked great!! I blew some leaves into a pile in the driveway and ran over them. There was hardly anything left. No more 2hr backpack jobs, can you tell I'm excited? I went down to the road where I had blown some leaves last year and last month and last week and mowed em down. That finish mower worked great. I learn that you could just lift the front of the deck a little going forward. It worked even better backing with that rear discharge. One time forward and once back and thats it! Thanks to everone!
