Left the key on my 4400.

I ripped apart the entire carb today, the floats looked great. One accelerator pump piston was seized solid with carbon, It was so tight I could hardly pull it out with needle nose pliers. The other side was really loose and the bowl gasket was blown out/torn. I suspect its from the back firing or 50 yrs. of neglect (probably both). I fit the new pistons to the bore so they move freely and pump air really good. Hopefully this is the fix, tomorrow first light I'll have it back together to try out.

I Struck out on the holley rebuild so I ordered the Zenith replacement from yesterdays tractor. Tore it apart 3x. It starts/runs perfect if I take it to high rpm's right away. Held it at 1700 rpm for 3-4 minutes. As soon as I start moving the throttle around it starts missin again.

I moved the point plate, it sprung back to the same position both ways without any issues. I removed the vacuum advance tube and shot it with a light, Its within time and whistling. What would you expect would happen if I traded the carb off my PERFECT running 3000 and put it on the 4400? The PO put a zenith carb on it. It starts without choke at -20'f or 100'f and everything in between with no problems. The 3000 is a 158 CID engine and the 4400 is 201 CID, they're both 3cyls machines?

I swapped the carb from the 3000 to the 4400, running like a champ except for a little miss. I'll get to that later this week when I get install the new carb. I got the backhoe on while I wait for the new zenith to get here. I wasn't expecting it to be 24' long!
