Lenar tractors!

Thanks, this is constructive information. Will you post your findings and evaluations on this tractor in the future for those of us who would like to know?

It is valuable to hear from one who owns one so I can make an informed decision as to my getting the Lenar. Much thanks for your input.

I went to the lenar web page and it full of negitive comments about other brands
and untrue statements such as the statement that John Deere tractors are made by Yanmar?
What happened to truth in advertising???

I tried to leave this as a suggestion and as a comment
in the boxes on the webpage and there was not way to do so.
I would never even consider dealing with a company that
isrepersented by such a Web presence.

Bill K,

First, I do not sell Chinese tractors, Lenar or any other brand, nor do I own one. But, Yanmar currently supplies John Deere with their 790 and 990 tractors. They also supply them the engines for the 4X10 series of tractors and I believe that Yanmar actually builds the 4010, 4015, and 4110 tractors for them. So they aren't too far off the mark. Before the 4XXX and 4X10 tractors came along, Yanmar built the 50 and 70 series compacts for John Deere.

Ben and Wan4me, nice articles. Read them 5 times couldn’t find one reference to tractors being built with Ford or Isuzu quality controls. I have seen Lenar; I spend a lot of time with Willie in Yakima and have seen the old and new product. I have talked with the Coopers on many occasions, nice people by the way. I have absolutely no bad comment on the tractor and have not said anything bad about it. My frustration is with the constant rhetoric and spin I here from you Mazama. I really hope it works for Willie and the Coopers (they have my full support and help anytime they need it) but I stand by my statement that it will be because of their skills and honesty as good dealers and in spite of the hype. As far as "my future in this business" Ben, your a telemarketer with a limited tractor background working for Roger. I own a million dollar dealership that I built with my two hands out of my garage. If I can just keep my knuckles from dragging the ground I think I might be able to make it one more year. Give me a break, build a dealership from the ground up sell more tractors than me and then give me a call. I have made my mistakes (listening to hype from people like you) and I am willing to admit them. The great thing is when the salesman walk through the door these days I now know how to tell the good ones from the snakes. I totally recommend customers look at a Lenar if you buy it from a good dealer you won’t be disappointed.

Wan4me, the way you talk sounds so familiar……..I just can’t seem to place the name. Ha, you don’t really think I am that dumb. What do you bet beyond this conversation we never see you post again.

Ben you are right, about Tereplane, I had talked with Keith Spears and I thought that he said he was selling the Kama’s and Futian under that name. I later learned that I was mistaken. Sombody did forget to tell this guy though http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2570117656&category=26193

I read the articles too and never saw any reference to tractors. So what brand are the Terraplanes? The white ones to me looked to be DFs and the others i figured were Kamas since they have the shuttle shift. What other chinese tractors are offering the shuttle shift? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Bill, you are probably one of those guys who think there are still tractors built in the USA too. Sorry about the truth with JD, you probably didn't realize that one of their biggest tractor factories in the world is in China as well.

As for the website, it is constantly under construction right now and I am sorry you couldn't leave your comment even though apparently it would have been negative, especially now since we are revamping everything with the new Lenar synchromesh shuttle shifts appearing in 2004. By the time it's all done, it will probably have a new structure, with a better web presence as you requested.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Boy......here we go again Buck, how long did it take you to come up with that great comeback? You must have guys that handle speech writing for you like the president. I don't really care to continue going back and forth with you because it seems everything has to be negative with you or you always seem to have a problem with some company or the way some other member posts...........you are disappointed for reasons beyond what this board is for and if it is over rhetoric from our company, I'm truly sorry, but you started it. I think I know the real reason you are upset there Buck. And I don't even want to sink to your level on the personal attacks towards my occupation, I am not selling hotel packages here, rather offering exclusive Lenar distributorships........by the way, how many tractors did you sell this year from your million dollar dealership?

/ Lenar tractors! #29
It doesn't take a smart man to know who he'd buy his tractor from.

/ Lenar tractors! #31
Good for you, that is a very respectable number, we plan on our Zone Distributors selling 5,000 Lenar estate tractors in 2005. Next year we will be receiving our EPA certification for the Jiangling engines(which the factory did themselves!) and that will allow unlimited importing for our guys the following year.

I really want to bury this hatchet though Buck, whatta ya say?

I have heard all of this before. Same record, replace the word Lenar with DF or Taskmaster and It could be word for word. Actions speak louder. I have never had any problem with Lenar, I have a problem with the BS about Ford and Isuzu's involvement. I don’t believe it and I think it is blatantly misleading.

MY 2 CENTS
I looked into the chinese tractor deal for a while thinking that I wanted to take the line on.
What I did find out was this. If I wanted to buy the lenars or task masters in Oregon I had to send my $$ ahead of time and go thru a middle man.
When I contacted Buck at EFC. all he said was how many do you want I have them in stock COD. no waiting at all!!
Now thats the way to do business ! And not only that but they were the same price as buying a container from the other people & waiting 6-8 weeks for them. He even offered to assemble them for a small fee and mount loaders on them.

He bent over backwards to try to set us up with tractors & support.

There was no BS. no lies, just a guy trying to make a living in Washington State out of his shop.

/ Lenar tractors! #34
You may be a little mixed up here Ernie, we here at Mazama Products in Oregon are factory reps for our tractors, there are no middle men, EFC is a middle man or distributor. The tractors I offer are factory direct for dealers/distributors through exclusive contracts and yes, you are required to order in bulk, what do you think it takes to become a distributor, just buying two tractors?!?!

And if any distributor tells you that you are getting tractors from them for the same price you would factory direct, then how would that distributor be in business??? The truth is we used to supply EFC with our factory direct DongFeng's, which made him a middle man.

Speaking of EFC, I am done with arguing with you over this matter Buck, you can throw all your negativity and skepticism at Lenar that you want, it still won't change the truth that is Ford's correlation to Jiagling Lenar.

====================================
Benjamin I was looking for 16 machines with loaders NOT 2
Buck said come on over I have them.
I received a price list from you Ben for your tractors in Oregon about a year ago, and the prices were the same as Bucks tractors, give or take a $100.
The only difference was EFC's were jinmas, not Taskmasters
and they were in stock & COD.
Im sorry that we could not do business with you Ben
but EFC. seem to have a lot better deal without the waiting
period.
I got the impression that you were a middle man Ben because you had no stock, I would of had to give you the $$ up front and then you would order them for us. (that was a little scary) I did not know you.
Where EFC. had items in stock. no tractors = no $$$

Im sorry that this has turned sour for the both of you Ben & Buck, maybe you could settle it on the phone, or just bury the plow and put it behind you.
Im not flaming anyone, these are just the facts the way I saw it. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I have never said anything negative about Lenar. I think people should buy them, they are good tractors. They were good tractors before Jingling bought them. I hope Lenar sells 5000 tractors, honest dealers like Chip, Willie and the Coopers should get rewarded for their risk and hard work. That is the basis of capitalism. But your misleading will only hurt them. Truth always comes out in the end. There is no argument and I will not roll over on this, prove me wrong and I will be the first to apologize. If you are the factory reps and your projections are 5000 US models then I imagine that getting a letter from Ford motor company proving their involvement in the quality control of Lenar tractors should be easy. Same for Isuzu. The factory representatives for Sleep Comfort mattresses have a letter from NASA backing up that the Temporpedic material is built to the NASA standards that the company claims. I would think you would be jumping for joy, I am giving you an open forum to slam me and to prove your Ford/Isuzu quality control all at once.

Below is a short list of Lenar dealers, if you’re interested in a good solid tractor then give them a call.

AgTraxx
Cooper Tractors
1-866-238-0769

Willie Owens
Pacific Ave Equip
1015 Pacific Ave.
Yakima Wa 98901
509-452-7934

Just to let everyone know so I don’t get calls, we no longer sell to dealers and haven’t for a while now. Like Ernie I enjoy dealing with customers and setting up dealers for any product takes time away for providing better service to the people who are paying retail.

This is my first post.....and i thought i'd just say a bright and cheerful hello!

Maybe I should just sit back and lurk for a while!!

Wow....this sure is a heated thread. I haven't been on here in a LONG time but after logging in and reading some of this I felt that I should post. Firt of all, I want to thank Buck for the generous plugs. I also want to return the favor as including Buck's company as geniune, honest folks. I've heard NOTHING but GOOD things about him.

Now for Lenar tractors. We have made the decision to push the Lenar name also. There will be various distributors across the USA for Lenar tractors. We have contracted to support 6 of these states. In the next few months we WILL be looking for strong dealers that will be able to pull from our stock at any time. We plan to have 50-60 built tractors on our lot for dealer distribution. The tractors will be built, tested, and READY so the dealer has no prep to worry with. He can simply pick from his wholesalers "lot".

Please note that nothing in the paragraph above is intended nor is a ploy for advertising. That's our salesperson's job. I am simply trying to convey the direction, which I think is the correct one, that Lenar is heading.

As far as bashing.......I'm not into it. I do however want to BASH our webdesigner (Jacki...post above) who emailed me the link to this thread. She's trying to hang out with the men and discuss tractors.... J/K /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
