Lenders for low credit score

Problem,
I have a low credit score of 492 . My credit had been perfect until 3 years ago and an event happened had that caused my credit score to go south.I heard that the FHA did not go by credit score. I also heard that an individual could get a " Hard Money Loan" my job situation has not changed, I still have my home and lots of collateral. My question is where would be a good place to inquire etc about a debt consolidation lone.
I need help please .

A lot depends on how much you are looking for and the amount of risk that you are prepared to take in using your collateral to secure a loan. Take a look at the Treasury’s web page

The problem is that in the current financial world credit can be obtained but for lesser credits at a significant markup, and this mark up can be hidden by offering teaser rates and then after a period of time very much higher rates or repayment levels are raised or putting by putting your collateral at risk. Please be careful and dont be afraid to ask what is the true rate of interest that Im paying for this loan, and get it in writing.

I've found errors on my credit report. Have you reviewed your for errors which might be hurting it?

A local credit union or neighborhood bank will sometimes look at things other than just the hard numbers on the credit report. I'd start there........
