2-4d will kill the clover. You need 2-4db if you want to kill broad leafs without killing clover and it also needs crop oil. I like to use select for killing grass and it also takes crop oil as well. Many people add 24 ouces to the acre of roundup and don't harm clover with it. Do a few searches any there are many posts about it on foodplot sites. Also don't spray more than one product on clover in a single day as it doesn't do so well. It's also normal for clover to brown a little from crop oil.

Save yourself some money and don't use arrest as poast is much cheaper and generic version of select is also cheaper. Leave the name brands to monsanto.

They are talking about Ed's method which is on established clover (usually 3 years or older). The OP's was planted this spring. Do this at your own risk, and at the risk of your neighbors as well if you develop resistant strains of weeds.

To the OP. Mow to control broadleaf and spray (I use Clethodim which is the active ingredient of Select Max) to control grass. One or two sprayings a year depending on if your grasses are warm season grasses, cool season grasses, or both.
