Re: Let\'s help this fellow get the right info

Most likely those dealers have one they need to sell or pay for. I have a TC40DA with 16LA I have to pay for this month myself and I would gladly blow it out the door for what I got in the tractor not even getting my actual set up cost and that would be 19855.00 So it is possible that this guy got that kind of a price if the dealer had to get rid of one.

Sounds like "floor planning." I used to floor-plan guitars from Taylor and Fender when I had a music store. If they weren't sold by the time the contract was up, I was always ready to deal on them.

Re: Let\'s help this fellow get the right info

Now, this is really wacky, but I'm copying a quote from Yarbro's post in the Case-IH forum.

( You guys must be from Missouri. The quotes I have received on the DX40 from two different dealers in Oklahoma are $20,350 and $19,250. I went to the dealership (which by the way handled New Holland also) and drove the tractors. Yes, the DX40 4wd models. By the way the NH comparable tractor was HIGHER in price than the Case units.

Another dealer who did not have the units in stock said he would order one for $21,000 but it would be 6 weeks to 2 months before he could deliver it. The same dealer who quoted the DX40 at $19,250 quoted the DX45 at $21,000. And, yes, they are the HST models.
)

He is saying he got these quotes from two separate dealers and one dealer offered to order him a tractor at $21,000 (didn't say which tractor). None of these sound like they are tractors they have to get rid of. Maybe it's the old joke:

We'll sell all our tractors at a loss and make it up in volume. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Spencer200, I think you just made an offer someone should really be interested in. I bet you get a few PMs about that "at cost" deal you said you would make. If I were looking for a tractor, I'd be "right there" on a deal like that. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Re: Let\'s help this fellow get the right info

From my research here latley, I was told that the Case will be cheaper than the new holland. By the case & nh dealers & they are not the same people!
Case does not offer supersteer, nor the sensitrac 4wd.
If you just bought the NH TC45D, which is no supersteer nor sensitrac, also minus hydo, this is $4000 less.
Taking my quote from before on an earlier post. Then deducting all the extras that some wont want or think about.
this gives you a TC45d for $20750, also take off so much for r4 tires and the shipping quote I gave was just to cover as they said they will only charge for actual shipping as when they are audited they will have to explain why they did not charge actual costs for shipping.

MY ramblings aside< I believe you can get into a TC45d for $20000 or less.\

Zipp, you have your models mixed up. The "D" in TC45DA means "deluxe" and is a hydrostatic transmission. Without the hydrostatic transmission, the model is TC45A. That corresponds to the Farmall D45. The DX45 is always with a hydrostatic transmission.

Having said that, you and I are in complete agreement. My belief is that the gent in the Case-IH forum was being quoted a non-deluxe model tractor. He was saying he could get a deluxe tractor for those prices. That's what I don't believe, especially a competely new tractor and from his choice of dealers.

Also, I'm not saying it isn't true. I'm saying I won't completely believe it until I see a copy the sales slip. If this fellow gets a deluxe tractor and loader for that price, I'm going to be really shocked. It will be the best deal I've ever heard of on the DX40 or DX45. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Yes I do have my models mixed up. Sorry, I have been looking at so much literature lately that I just made a blunder>
