A toolaholic friend of mine frequents garage sales and flea markets. (I would never have the patience to do that).

The top one has thread chasers in the middle of the body.

Pretty cool! They are called "Alligator" or "Goat" wrenches. They were common back in the day with the railroads for turning pipe etc on locomotives from what I've read.

Antique shop find yesterday for $5.00. It was frozen up pretty good, I took it apart, cleaned and it's working great.

Probably has harder jaws than basic ones today.

My uncle gave me this plumb bob exactly 50 years ago. I've been using it this week to set piers and anchor bolts for the new deck.

No markings but has to be US. He gave me a couple hand saws at the same time, rip and cross cut, but they were stolen a long time ago.

I cherish my hand-me-down tools...

About 20 years ago my service truck was broken it and I lost some... I was more upset because some of the tools had been given to me by both Grandfathers...

Well, my 85year old neighbor brought me back a gift from his wife's parents farm in Eastern WA. First thing I did is cleaned it up and looked for markings. Much to my surprised it says 'Made in Sweden'. Not USA made Scythe I know but thought I would share anyways. It has a real interesting design of the blade attachment...

Wouldn't want to do 100acres with one, but I found with a sharp scythe in dry grass, once I had a rhythm going I could clear a decent sized area quick enough.

Neat design.
