Back in 1979, after I had just moved into a small apartment in Jax, I got a small box in the mail, postmarked the town where my Dad lives. No explanation, no note, no return address. Since nobody else knew my address (yet) next time I saw Daddy, I thanked him. He had no idea who had sent it, and to this day it is still a mystery. I got a chance to drop by where they were made, in Waycross, Ga and the owner took us on a tour of his small shop. He showed us some prototypes he had done, and I asked if he ever sold any of those. He said he would, so I bought all of them! He was looking for a company to do some CNC machining, and I introduced him to a friend, whom I later went to work for, so for a while the blades were actually made partially in Jacksonville, Florida! He later sold the business to a couple out of south Arkansas, who started having them made overseas, then went into bankruptcy. I stopped by there one time, but it wasn't much of an operation. I have one on me anytime I am dressed, unless I am getting on an airplane. I actually have to be careful where I wear them, as I walked into the courthouse one day years ago, (actually by mistake) and ran into a metal detector. After the 2nd pass, they used a handheld and located the metal, and told me to go ahead. I will try to get a picture posted later.
