Ran across a deal on a 759C and its subframe that was meant for a TC48 or TC55 tractor (I made the mistake on an earlier thread identifying the backhoe as a model 459C - DOH!). I have a TC40D. Anyone run a 759C on a Class III Boomer? Interested in you experience and maybe a few tips on the subframe. I have not crawled around yet with the measuring tape to see how close it is to working. Yep, I know it might be a tickle on the big side for my tractor, but I am not a contractor.....so if I can get it to work, thinking it should be fine for my personal projects.

Also, interested in identifying the best "power beyond" hydraulic route to go for the hoe. I talked to the closest 2 dealers and they were absolutely no help plus I think they were both in their busy season with folks in the field. Seems once models are no longer current, they lose info in a hurry. Tried contacting New Holland directly a couple times - they won't talk to you unless you are a dealer......understandable I guess......and that would be fine if the dealers were willing to find the answers.

I have a TC45 that is as close to a 40 as you can get...When I was looking for backhoes I had it narrowed down to the 759 or woods 80...I ended up with the woods just because I liked the subframe better and the way the hoe hooked to it. The hoe itself is a good fit for your 40 - but not so sure that you don't absolutely need the correct frame mount for it.

Is the Woods 80 that you have on your TC45 the same as the current Woods BH80-X? Looks like that is about an 8' hoe. I think the 759C is a 9.5' hoe......and close to 1500lbs w/o the subframe. I have been out of the compact tractor loop for a long while - I was a bit surprised to see how the Boomer line has changed when I recently dropped into a dealer - my TC40D is quite a bit more substantial than the Boomer 50 they had on their lot.

It is A BH80X....bought 6 - 7 years ago ...how much they've changed since I have no idea. My main purpose was for digging stumps and trenching so the depth of dig was not a concern. The 80 has a subframe mount that stays on the tractor and it takes me about 30 - 45 minutes to put it on or take it off. If I do it more often I get better at it and can do it faster...but for safety's sake I just don't get in a hurry. At a point in the process I have hydraulics active on the hoe while it is as yet connected to the tractor...with a bit of air in the lines it can get a little interesting with the hoe jumping around on the stand I built for it.

Thanks for your reply Mike.

Looks like the rear hanger for the subframe will work. I am going to have to sacrifice the straight hitch for now. I will have to fab the front mounts for the quick release pins since the subframe was meant for a TC48/55 - just a little long for my TC40D. I found a number for a NH hydraulic kit - #715431006 - it was meant for a TC35-TC45 sporting a 758C, but I imagine the circuit would work just fine for the 759C too.
