I'd have to go check again but I think the 3pt on my NH TC30 has down pressure (i.e. I can't lift the arms with my hand in most positions) I haven't really checked this but I've of noticed that when I'm hooking up my brush hog I've got to have the arms at exactly the right height, not lower like I used to do with my old Rhino International.

If I remember when I get home I'll check this out.

Regarding the float position on the 3 point -- My DX 29 has 3 different areas marked on the 3 point lift control. The upper and lower ones are black with white reference points. The center section is white with black and marked as "float position for mowing". The only thing I've had on the 3 point so far has been a relatively light back blade and my counterweight. With the lift arms set in the center hole, I don't use the lower two areas when blading. My blade is fairly light. It seems that there is more down pressure than would come from simple weight in the upper 1/3 of the control

I don't have a bb but I have found that the TR3 has made keeping my wife's arena in shape very easy. It has a blade, teeth and a rake that can all be independently adjusted to suit the soil conditions. http://tr3rake.com/
