Just broke right side lift arm while pulling fence posts. It seems to be made of cast iron can this be welded back or should I just bite the bullet and replace it if I can find the part. This on a Yanmar 1510D /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

The arms on a 1510 are really not designed to be used with a 3 point hitch. They were made to lift the little tillers that they came with. That is why they are so small and tend to be the weak link in the system. Welding it can be a temporary fix. You will need to use a special rod to have any chance of success. I think NiRod works best on cast. The fix very rarely ever lasts though.

We have some heavy duty arms that are about twice the size of the factory arms that I guarantee that you will never break.

Thank you for your reply. I have already checked your website and the part you have looks very sturdy but at $78.87 a piece plus shipping to Georgia will I need to replace both arms or are the replacments the same measurements?

You can just replace 1 of them at a time. They are the same length just fatter. I forgot that we still had them listed at that price. We were getting those from japan- that's why the price was higher. I have dropped the price if you are interested.
