I was using my front end loader yesterday to do some drive way work. Was going to back drag some crushed asphalt. When I eased the clutch out, the hydraulic ram on the right side swung down to the vertical position. Hmm says I, shouldn't that be in the vertizontal position? When my son and I started to look at welding it back together again, the ram wouldn't go back to the old weld. Upon further examination, we noticed that where the bracket mounts to the frame was cracked and bent, when I looked again I noticed that the bracket was cracked and bent so much that one of the hoses was in the crack. When I looked on the other side, that bracket was cracked as well. Any body else have this problem? Naturally, the warranty ran out 2 months ago

Unless you've already tried, depending on the dealership as well if this is an already documented problem for others, the dealership could very well still hold your hand on the situation.

I'd check out the cracks for evidence of how long they have been there. If there is rust throughout the cracks, they may have been present for a long time and just finally broke from fatigue. If that is the case they may be likely to step up and help as a warranty repair. Speak with the dealer first and see what they think, they may be able to contact MUSA on your behalf. Only being two months out of warranty I'd be contacting MUSA to express displeasure in the situation.

I would not recommend back dragging with the bucket tipped forward as far as possible. The rams are fully extended and take all the strain which very often results in bent rods. But it sounds like you have a dif. problem there still I thought this worth mentioning for others as well. Good luck I hope your able to get some warranty.

So the dealership in my town closed after a year of operation, not because they weren't selling equipment but the parent company decided they didn't want to sell Mahindra any more. Probably made them look bad. Tried to call the nearest dealer ( 2 plus hours away) and all I could get was a busy signal. Guess I'll check the number and try again tomorrow

With your dealer no longer in business, I'd definitely call MUSA and express my displeasure about it breaking two months out of warranty. They may decide to honor it under warranty and ask you to take it to a specific repair shop nearer than their closest dealer. Locally I know of two "all makes" tractor repair shops that handle some warranty work for most major brands. Generally in cases where the dealer is not local, or the local dealer doesn't have in-house repair facilities, and sometimes when the local dealer is really swamped. MUSA may know of and utilize such a 3rd party service in your area, especially since the local dealer was selling some tractors; I doubt yours is the first to need something.

Yep, that is what I was doin, but i don't think that was the problem, the weld broke where it attaches to the upright. Just a symptom of a bigger problem

MahindraUSA actually called me today, want to see pictures so they can evaluate the situation..probably wont like my photographic skills and have to do them all again. I didn't think to ask if there might be a local shop to get repairs done, maybe in the next phone call.
