Thanks for all the input, I am leaning toward the pull type. That being said I haven't checked out pricing on either unit yet. Although the 3pt. has it's advantages...... Crap, still can't decide.

I like the pull types because the ride is better and the cut is better imo. For open fields the pull types are definately my choice. I have a 3PH cutter now and for smaller plots it is more convenient and will fit on my trailer much better. So there are pro's and con's either way you go.

I've got a 6' lift type and a 10' pull type and am very happy with this setup.

Pull types are much better on steep hills if you have any of those. They don't pull the rear of the tractor down hill near as bad and make it sidetrack and tear the ground up.

I have had both. I like the pull types, they seem to cut better and dont bind as much crossing low places, easier to hitch and cut to the same hight better than 3ph. That said I have a 3ph now, got a good deal.

Sounds like I need both! 3PT for small/tight areas and a bigger pull type for large open areas.
