Husky X-Light bars are on sale right now on amazon. I am looking at the 24" bar that is listed at 1.34lbs. I currently have a woodlandPRO 24" bar with listed weight at 3.25lbs. I like the extra 4" over the 20" that came on the saw but it did get noticeably nose heavy with that bar. Am I going to notice a difference going from 3.25 to 1.34 or is it negligible?

I suspect you would notice 2 lbs weight difference overtime. Running for 10 or 15 minutes probably not so much. The biggest change might be does the saw balance better with lighter bar.

The lighter bars can make a very noticeable difference in that nose heavy feeling. I think it also depends on the weight of your power head. I run a 25” Stihl light bar on my Stihl MS362 (12.35lb), and it made a huge difference, I wouldn’t go back to a heavy bar in that length. Also run a MS462 (13.2 lb) with a Tsumura 28” light bar and have the same experience. I’m a big fan of the light bars, they hold up real well and a lot more comfortable to run.

24" light will weigh more then 1.34 IMHO

Your talking their Sugi made light bar right? They also have Tsu light bars made for them overseas too.

Look like this? To make sure we talking about same bar.

Tsu light 24" 050 is lighter then Sugi light bars and ones husky use for US with their name on it like above. Tsu light 24" to 2lb 11oz

Yes that is the one I am looking at. With the more accurate weight, it doesn't seem like a big savings but I think I am going to go for it. As I said, I don't care so much about the overall weight. I am more concerned with the balancing the saw out.

I went ahead and ordered it. Excited to give it a run. I will report back once I have some experience. Thanks for all the advice.

New 24" bar. Also my first Husky chain since the saw was new. Don't even remember if I liked the husky chain or not. It was on sale at TSC so I thought I'd give it a try. Full house, semi-chisel.
