"LIKE" Button; and A button to back up to a quote !

Hello,

- I read some postings and thought about replying but didn't want to say more than "I like it".

My suggestion, "Can we add a "LIKE" Button for each post, so we can just click the button and say "I like it" and leave the rest be.
I would think this could reduce storage space for the site, make things a little quicker for a small response, and like me more things along if there are a lot of postings you want to read through.

- Also, I was reading a Posting, that had a quote in it..., I tried to back up and read the original post (OP) and found nothing, tried twice more to locate the OP and nothing, I gave up and decide to make a suggestion.

My suggestion is, "Is there a way to setup a "go back to an original post that was quoted", a one button click setup, maybe within the quoted text" ?

Use the advanced google search for TBN and you will find the many previous threads about a "like button" etc., et al. and why the suggestion is always nixed by a large majority... (and rightfully so)...

If you click the >> icon after a members name in a quoted text box it will link you the quoted post...

If that's the case, then you should also need a "dislike" button for those who may think the advice given was bad.

We don't need any such "like or otherwise" buttons. As a few others have pointed out, we already have the means to show approval.

Let's not turn this into a social media site and popularity contest. :thumbdown:

No. It's an honest request that a lot of people have asked about. So far, however, more people seem to not want it, and neither does the site owner.
