Like Electric UTV for quiet; but I want power steering

It's a good thing you kids were born when you were, we got along without power steering for many years in full size cars& trucks.
I drove semi's without air or power steering.

So 4 amps at 12 volts? 48 Watts? Like an amp at 48 volt. Trying to think how much and often a power steering motor would operate. At speed, you don't even need it and to keep a vehicle going straight, you don't either, but maybe they never designed it to be as energy efficient as possible. I don't have the slightest idea.

I believe what he was saying is it would be 4 amps at 48 volts. It would be 16 amps at 12 volts for a 200 watt motor.

I suppose the power drain issue does make sense. Most of the electric UTVs are running lead-acid batteries so they have limited power available.
