Yeah, that stuff is called a CoCoMat... It is made of coconut fibers... The wife has used them before. They aren't a permanent solution, and do require some level of "grippiness" underneath.
The guy who built the ramp thinks he can crank up the spring tension enough to overcome the mats. We are hoping...![]()
Yep, CoCoMat, that's it. The spray-on liner might provide the needed "grippiness."
I have Rhino liner in my truck bed. I haven't had an issue slipping but I don't know how it would act with horses, particularly with the studs you mentioned.
I replaced the mats in my old trailer (no ramp though) with lightweight mats Mighty Lite Horse Stall Mat. That sure made cleanouts easier. Another product that might work is a button mat.
