With a new B2410 with a FEL and a BH, I am ready for a big project. I want to build a small pond and run two feeder ditches one 500 feet and one 800 feet to catch some of the water that runs down the slopes on my property. The pond will have a liner in it so I don't think that I will have a problem keeping water in it especially this year in SE Penna.
The problem is the ditches. Our soil is very porous and the ditches that I have made before would not transport water unless the ground was frozen. I was looking for a type of liner that would come in a roll that I could put in the ditch then put rocks on it to keep it in place.

I have looked around on the web for something like this but have not found anything.

Thanks for any info on this.

Sounds like you need 6 mil black plastic sheeting. You can get it in various widths and lengths at TSC or about any farm store. I bought a roll 500 feet long and 8 foot wide to put under the gravel in my driveway. That way, the gravel dosen't dissappear in a year. A lot cheaper in the long run.

I think I paid about 30 bucks for the roll.

They also make the film in clear too. I used black as the weeds below it don't get any light and don't grow.
