Re: link chain \"fence for Wroughtn_Harv
There are 60 caps to a link. Each cap has a hole in the middle. We started with a nail and hammer... That worked, and was how our friend Leslie had done it.
But, I reload rifle and pistol catridges. So, I took a 45acp sizer/decapper die, and set it in the press. The caps fit nicely over a .45 shell holder. I set the decaper pin real deep. Whala! It went pretty fast, and less chance of hammer to thumb contact /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
They are strung over a stainless wire.
We like the rustic look. I took the broken link apart, and found that only the outside ridges had rust. The insides of the caps have the plastic coating. The outside/top has the label. The labels were in perfect shaoe; could still see"Calistoga Water", Full Sail Ale, Sierra Nevada Pale All, ect.
