Really? I thought the reason for the relief was to prevent stall

Oh okay. I'll give it a try again and I'll see if I can get it close to stalling. I have noticed on occasion that if I'm running the Bucket into a dirt pile the same time I am in low range pushing into it with the Hydro I can occasionally get it to want to stall out. That's only if I'm putting pressure on the loader as well as the Hydro not just one or the other. I think I'm getting very good traction The ground is dry the pile is unmovable and I'm using the hydraulics of the loader to hold pressure down on the front end as well while I'm scooping up the dirt. I'll post my results. I have had it want to stall out when I was pulling a 6 foot box blade overflowing with dirt. But I had all the rippers down all the way also.

Okay I did some more testing with Hydro stall in mind. If I drive up to a pile that won't move I can spin the tires even on good solid dry ground. But if I use the loader for leverage into the pile of dirt putting more pressure down on the front wheels as I'm scooping up dirt it will stop the spinning and I will relief out. I think my relief setting is probably about correct something has to give. I can see where that added weight would really make this thing a beast. I can't see where they would be very many occasions that I could lose traction if I filled them.

All depends on the bias desired and the machine design.
The motor HP could be upped to both spin tires and produce max hydraulic output simitainiously .this leads however to a tractor with a lot of power that would never be used if it was only used to tow draft loads.

The dealer I've been talking with has offered to fill the tires with a water/antifreeze solution. Any thoughts reagarding this mixture for NC weather?

Should be fine.

Back in the 80's, I bought a Kubota B8200 that came from the dealer with unloaded tires. Didn't have it too long before I realized they needed something put in them. At that time, antifreeze was somewhere around $2 a gallon.....so I put 7 gallons of it, and 14 gallons of water in each tire. It was fine even in our cold climate....they may have gotten a little slushy on occasion, but nothing came of it. I had that tractor for 24 years..... those tires with the antifreeze, were still on it the day I sold it...no leaks, no rust, and no problems. Besides the cost, the only downside to antifreeze is that it's not as heavy as beet juice...but any weight is better than none
