Of all the vehicles I've had (similar to other posted lists)...except for maybe one of the Willys ('55') pickups...the one car I would like to have brand new again (minus the pollution garbage) would be the '84' AMC Eagle 4 dr hatch back wagon...

...4x4 would "go in the snow"...some of the most comfortable seats and a great handling car...on the highway or out in the woods...

Even today they are still a fairly modern looking car...

You know, I've always liked those and am kinda surprised that I still see them once in a while...

I thought the Studebaker hawks (Golden and Silver) were the prettiest cars made, in their day. And I thought the Avanti was one of the ugliest. However, I drove around one day in the first Avanti to come to the Dallas dealer, and except for the looks, it was a great car.:laughing: The only thing wrong with it was the fact that you couldn't get it with BOTH A/C and the supercharger.

I guess it needed the one pulley!

1970 Chevy Nova - highly modified 230L6 engine, don't laugh, it would turn 114mph, various transmissions.
1971 Chevy Nova - 250L6 3spd auto.
1972 Chevy Nova 4dr. - 250L6 - 2spd powerglide
1962 Chevy II - 194L6 - 3 on the tree.
1970 Chevy Malibu - 307 - TH350
1975 Yamaha DT250B - It's an enduro, basically, a street legal dirt bike
1977 Yamaha RD400 - highly modified road racer/weekend drag bike - turned 11:90's consistently@119MPH. Not bad for 25 cubic inches.
1978 GMC 3/4 ton pickup - 454 - 8MPG!
1983 Chevy Cavalier - fun little car.
1985 Chevy 1/2 ton pickup 4x4 - still rotting in the back yard.
1989 Chevy Cavalier Z24 - another fun little car. Not fast, but handled like a go-kart.
1993 Chevy 3/4 ton van conversion - oh yeah! My favorite family drive around vehicle.
1993 Suburban K1500 4x4 (my current truck) - 5.7L - 4L60E. Tranny cooler and locking rear diff.
2000 Chevy Impala - most comfortable car I ever owned. Sold it at 189,000 miles, and its still going with 220K+.
2013 Chevy Impala (my current car) - fun car to drive. Very high power to weight ratio. Not the most comfortable thing to drive long distances. Looking to change to 2014 or later when Chevy got away from rental car mentality on the Impala.

I forgot my 1971 Toyota Landcruiser FJ40! It's been in a storage shed since 1996. I've got a metal body, two firewalls, a fiberglass body, two engines, several trannies.... too bad none of them are physically connected to each other. :laughing:

I live in/near South Bend, IN, home of Studebaker, and Avanti. It was something to see them being hand-made, one at a time, VS the Studebakers riding along on the overhead assembly line from building-to-building. You could drive under the assembly line on a city street as it moved frames from the frame shop to the assembly plant. Pretty fond memories.

There's still quite a few Stude's and Avanti's running around town here. And every couple/few years they'll have the international Studebaker club/Avanti club annual meet in town. Something to see a couple hundred of them running around town.

You know, I've always liked those and am kinda surprised that I still see them once in a while...

To be honest I still have the 84 wagon stuck in an out of the way spot...In reality it was "my tractor" before I actually bought a real tractor...
...I used it to drag an angled (with different length chains) log to smooth the road..., I had built a big wooden , 3 sided pan that just slid into the rear cargo space and used it for hauling earth and gravel (shoveled both ways)...can't count on both hands how many stumps I pulled (after hand digging and cutting roots) with it...prior to that for several years it had mainly been used as a seasonal hunting wagon...
It (still) only has about 84K original miles on it...came new with a AM/FM/CB radio...which was pretty cool because there was no obvious CB antenna...
Almost forgot...hauled untold chords of wood inside and out (luggage rack)...!
