My tractor calls for Lithium EP1 grease. It came pre-lubed with their own label grease which is, to use a better term "clear". I like this grease because it doesn't make as much of a mess.
The dealer will not carry this grease because he has to order a case. I have checked all the local auto parts stores, no go.
The question is, will the Wal-Mart 98 cent Lithium grease, which is "clear", work as well? It doesn't say it is EP grease. They have a $1.98 grease that says EP, but it is almost black.
I use this grease for the mower deck spindles, deck wheels, 3pt lift, and drive shafts. I do not wait for the recommended lub time. I lube whenever I feel like it. After all lub is cheap compared to $10K for a tractor.
