Slamfire:

I guess it's true then, I heard the folks in Tennessee don't have garages, they have tarps!! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Man I am eager to get a garage\pole barn built so I to can start a fine collection like you guys.
Junkman......your garage brings back memories of my dad's garage. He was the only person that could find anything in there. He said he kept it that way so his 3 sons would stay out....and we did because it would take the better part of a day to find a screwdriver!!! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Hilslider, I tried that with my garage and it didn't work it just made it harder to find what I was looking for when I did need a tool. Seems they can stack more stuff on mine and then it gets real complicated. While I should be looking at the fact that I only have three bays allotted to myself at home I think that do to the fact that the house is 5500 sq ft that means I should have a 11000 sq ft garage. Am I on the right track here?

You are right on track......11000 sq would let you have plenty of room for stuff and if your wife is anything like mine....you would have enough room to live out there to! Oh I really do love her but she is pregnant with our second child and things kind of get rough when she is not feeling well. She is due on Feb 20th and I can't wait to meet my son and get my wife back to! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Junkie
just a short note
Looking at your garage inspired me to put a bunch of junk on ebay for sale.
I had a lot of yanmar parts, and the usual crap that I collected over the years,so the boss said why dont you just sell that junk. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
thats all it took! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
Thanks for the motivation
Ernie

Hey Ernie, why don't you give us your ebay user ID? We might want some of that junk.

Junkman,
Thats a nice collection of ,...well you name it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Your garage reminds me of a show on one of the major networks a couple of years ago about people with 1 form of "obsessive compulsive disorder" or "compulsive obsessive disorder",however you want to say it. These people would not part with anything, you could not even hardly get through their house because of the junk. /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

I can't tell what's under the parking meter, but I thought I saw a de-humidifier in there and I have the same strawberry planter that is behind the tractor in the other photo. Coke glasses, too. Can of Gunk engine cleaner? Hey, in that lightened picture the big red light is missing near the torches. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Yes the big red light is missing. I had put it out front a couple of days before I took the picture. The "big red light" is only part of the assembly. It is a large siren that I restored and sold to a local fire truck buff. He picked it up the day after the original picture. I still have a couple more on the shelf in various states of repair. That one piece of junk netted me $600! It's sale paid for my aerator (tractor related comment). The box under the parking meter is a lockable money drop box. Don't think that there is a dehumidifier in there. It is in the cellar in some unknown corner.
As for someone comment about being a "obsessive compulsive disorder" or "compulsive obsessive disorder", that is hardly the case. I filled a 40 yard dumpster and then put back the good stuff. I just have a hard time selling all that I have collected over the years. A lot of what is in there was given to me by others rather than throw it out. I know that there is value to most all of it, so I just have to sell, sell, sell. Even the cutting torches were given to me by a woman whose husband passed away. I have another set just like it down back and a smaller set in the back of the garage. Those things you don't toss, but sell. I hope to do a major flea market selling spree in the spring...
