little rock in the yard

/ little rock in the yard #11
We had a fun one in our first house in the North Georgia mountains. There was a flower bed in the middle of the driveway - about 3 feet square. In the process of moving in, we ran over the thing about 4 or 5 times and decided to remove the bed, and found out why it was there - it covered up the ROCK. It stuck about 6 inches above the gravel and my wife's car would drag when she went over it. We added a garage and had the dozer try to dig the rock out - he stopped when it was apparent that the rock was huge - it was already the size of a large car /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif We ended up filling the hole back in and just raising the grade to cover the rock /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Was the loader even able to life the "small stone"? Looks like it bent the bucket? /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

It lifted the rock, I stopped about 2 inches up, otherwise the rear of the tractor would come off the ground. The inch or so of bucket bend at the top was already there from moving other rocks.
