I live on my 80 acres. Always have - 40+ years. I will die here on the 80. Absolutely nothing could ever make me move back into town. I have developed too many country ways and habits. Besides - I love the county and country ways. Really hate the city and city ways.
We moved onto the property in 1982. Moved down from Alaska. When we moved to Alaska - 1965 - our new house was built on the most outer outskirts of the big city - Anchorage. We sold that house in 1982. The outskirts of Anchorage had expanded another five miles beyond where we lived. We no longer lived anywhere near the outskirts.
The 80 acres has been in my family since 1938. The move onto this property was easy and obvious.
I'm just not a city boy.
