I own a 1976 Case 885 and 1971 Ford 4000. As far as I know, both tractors have had CaCl in the rears since delivery. The rear rims are pristine. Rim rot is caused by owners ignoring leaking tire tubes over the long term. Proper tire maintenance will eliminate the problem regardless if CaCl or noncorrosive ballast is used.
A 2wd 424 with a loader and nothing on the 3PH is going to be about worthless.
Need loaded tires AND something on the back preferably.
