Loader Loader bucket stuck

i have a Massey Ferguson 1246 FEL and a MF 1250 Tractor. The loader is stuck half way up. Will not raise up or down. The tilt mechanism works just fine but no up and down motion for the bucket itself. What areas should I look at for the culprit and is it a major repair? Can't find any leaks or bad hy..hose connections. thanks..James

Look at your couplers... and the linkage for the control levers (if any)

Is the spool moving for the lift circuit?

Check for a blocked QD.

Go to float and see what happens.

An open return path is necessary for any cyl fluid to flow.

Block the flow and the cyl will lock.

Before you do anything...remember that the loaders will fall if pressure is released...so, be very careful
I strongly suggest you block up the loader to prevent it accidentally dropping

Thanks, had too much fluid in the reservoir which increased pressure then blew a coupling out. Drained some fluid via filter and hooked coupling back up and all works fine now. A stupid mistake...I misread the dip stick. Thanks for all replays
