I want to replace the control valve on my loader with one with a better joy stick. Surplus Center has a Prince for $227 that has a 25 gpm rating. Does the size make a difference since the tractor only pumps around 8gpm. Does any one make a smaller valve. Can anyone suggest a good valve.

In your case size doesn't make a difference. The valve will just be much larger physically than is really needed. What part # are you looking at?

You will also have to pay attention to how the joystick is assembled and which spools operate which functions. Valves for our loaders are mounted in a couple of different ways, so there are different arrangements for each.

Might also want to make sure it will operate more than one function simultaneously. Some of the cheap ones, and some of the older designs would not perform dual functions such as "curl & lift" or "dump & lower" at the same time.

Good loader control valves will allow for both the control of the bucket and the loader.

In good technical jargon.. are the spools parallel or series?

But if he's gonna call and ask questions shouldn't he speak the language? I mean I don't speak Spanish (not much anyway), so don't call me with "Hola! Como estas mi amigo?" :D

Disclaimer: No offense meant here, just some politically incorrect humor..
