Mad, the valve I was looking at is Surplus Centers # 9-4782. It is the only loader control valve they have on the web site. It seems like to big of a valve size wise for my loader. I will call Westendorf to see if they offer anything.

If you can get a pic of your existing valve and label the spools, I might be able to point you in a direction also...

I just called Westendorf Mfg. who makes the loader and almost had a stroke. They offer one for only $550.At that price I will put up with my old one.

LOL... I was wondering about that... I can do better, but depending on the valve it may not be a TON better

*looking around* Well maybe Dargo was wrong then.....;)

Total lie there, but it sounded believable right?

Take a look at this Surplus Center joystick valve. Part # 9-7267. It's rated for 7 gpm and reasonably priced. Has float and regen. You do have to buy the joystick lever as it's not included.

Mad, that looks just like the valve that is on my tractor now. I went to Prince's web site and they offer some other small loader valves also. What I noticed with all of them is they use the same linkage setup as the one I have except they use a strait handle. My valve is mounted horizontal and has an L shaped handle. When I got home tonight I removed the valve from its mount, removed the mount and made a new one that mounts the valve at 45deg. and made a strait joy stick 4 in longer. I put it back together and it works like a dream.

Sounds like a nice (and cheap) solution!

What is feel regenerative position. All the controll valves I looked at have this but I don't have a clue as to what it is.

Take a look HERE. Kubmech did a good job explaining it.
