I am seeking advice on which loader would work best on a 1967 Ford 4000 Diesel tractor. It has the heavy later model front end without the radius rods. Thanks

Back up.

Post us a picture and a model ID number. 'later'? front end????

All AG chassie model 3 cyl 4000's had the same front end.. there was no early / late front end. ( there are some steering gear / power steering differences yes. )

Industrial and rowcrops models and SU models had different front ends.

When we see the picture, we will know what you have, and we can go from there.

That info came from a thumbnail you posted some time ago. My front end looks like the thumbnail picture on the right in that post. It does not have radius rods and the thumbnail stated that front end was used on later model tractors if that helps. I am out of town presently dealing with Harvey and will post a picture when I get back home.

Hmm.. jumping around and referencing old threads without a link makes answering your questions difficult. I browse on a phone, not a computer.

No problem, I can't help it that you posted 2 different things, then won't man up and say that it was your mistake. I'll have to remember your handle so I can avoid offering any help on any future Ford problems you WILL encounter while caring for and feeding these old beasts.

That is assuming Irma does not wash you out to sea, good luck with that treading water thing coming your way, glug, glug, glug.

Agreed. Soundguy is an invaluable resource to me when I have had questions. If someone were to chase him off with a post like that I'd kick em right in the shins

I give respect when it is due, snotty, sarcastic and confused replies to simple questions do not earn anyone's respect. Poke the bear and pay the price. BTW any advice or usable information coming from him was non existent. I'll leave you old boys to your depends and geritol as I have found a much better site for usable information.

Could you do that and still hold on to your walker?

You're the one that got snotty, Soundguy knows Ford tractors well and I hope when you go looking for front end parts after putting a loader on your machine you have as much success at your other source of information when it comes to buying parts. Good luck, you won't be missed.

He was the confuses one, in a reply with diagrams he identified as having one type, then in another discussion he identifies the other.

He says 2 different things and I'm the confused one.... Right.. :)

bad down here. fuel low, no power or other utilities. spotty cell service. looks like I lost my diesel farm/daily truck. Fridge acting iffy on the generator.

Duke energy needs to quit 'assessing damage' and start turning the power back on.

Sad deal is.. sure.. there are a few trees down and lots of messes.. but overall in the 3 counties I've had to drive thru to help my parents and inlaws, basically.. I've only seen 3 power lines down, and a handfull of trees in open, non utility damaging areas.... There just is not alot of visual utility line damage.. yet no phone, tv, internet, and power. there are complete dark cities here at night. Where I am is kinda high on a little florida hill, and I can look out over 2 cities south of me.. it's like north korea at night.. no lights.
