Whether this is an "improvement" depends on your your use of the FEL and other attachments using the controller, like the snowblower.
Yes, I need the controller on for the winter. During the other seasons, I mount the FEL probably twice for 2 weeks at a time. Other than that, with the FEL removed, the controller is gone and out of the way, which I prefer.

They probably have voice mail. If it's a proprietary thing and they had no power, then voice mail won't work either. A lot of SE Columbus is STILL without power. They hope to have everything restored by Monday.
