This may be the wrong forum, but I have a question about how the hydraulic arms are attached to the pivot point on loaders. I've been looking a CUT's a lot lately and noticed something on the new Mahindra 1533's that is not like any of the other tractors, even other Mahindras. Bear in mind, I am not a mechanic or an engineer, so my terminology may be wrong. Where the arm attaches to the bucket, on most tractors, the arm seems to insert into the pivot piece. The pivot piece itself is usually 2 to 3 inches long and extends toward the arm. I don't know if the pivot piece screws onto the arm or not, but it's a nice clean fit, with no visible welds. On the 1533, the arm is visibly welded to the pivot piece and the pivot piece itself is just the pivot with very little, if any, extending toward the arm. It is not as clean, or substantial, a look as the other method. I am wondering if this is a cheaper, cost cutting, method, or is it just an alternate, equally acceptable method.
