I was looking at Hoye's instructions - Remote hydraulic install on a Yanmar

and had a couple questions.

1. So I dont' need BP, right?

2. If I got one with PB, does using that and putting the "out" to my sump allow for faster loader operation?

3. If I also wanted to put in remotes in the rear at my 3-point, how would that go? Pressure only like the diagram?

Thanks!

I have a YM2000 with a Bush Hog Loader and don't use PB.

I dont Know.

What model Yanmar do you have? Some Yanmars can tap off the ports under the seat. If you dont have the extra taps then you can look at my thread in Hydraulics for my solution. http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/hydraulics/154585-yanmar-hydraulic.html
Thanks!

Good luck

No, you dont need it. PB is typically preferred because it eliminates the possibility of the next valve in the loop (three point valve) from causing interference. We have installed LOTS of Koyker loaders using the 2 hose (non power beyond) system with no problems. In fact Koyker used to only send the 2 hose style. You can use the PB port though. It just adds an extra hose & you have to figure out how to get the oil back into the system- typically through a custom made oil fill cap. That third hose just gets cluttered on that small of tractor.

2. If I got one with PB, does using that and putting the "out" to my sump allow for faster loader operation?

I dont think the PB would change the speed at all unless you were lifting the three point at the same time.

3. If I also wanted to put in remotes in the rear at my 3-point, how would that go? Pressure only like the diagram?

I'm not sure what you mean. I changed the picture & instructions slightly so that might answer your question.

OK, got answers to everything I needed, one last question. If the tractor is off, and I pull the joystick to put the loader down, will it go down, or is it locked in place? (the whole high pressure only line to the jostick makes me wonder this)

Let me re-phrase that -

"If the tractor is off,the bucket is in the air, and I move the joystick to put the loader arm down, will it go down?"

Yes, it will go up or down with the engine running and will go down with the engine off.

I just added a very basic flow diagram to those instructions so you can see how it would work in different positions. I hope that helps.
