I have a about 1500 ft of horse fencing to put in and the hydraulic auger is just too slow. I am looking into getting a post driver to speed things up. I have been searching for a used one but they are hard to find around here and if you do find one it is in poor shape. I am looking at new ones. The Shaver HD8 is all I need, over 95% of the posts are 4x4s and my soil is some rocks and a gravel/very slight clay mixed in. I have a JD 110 tlb with hydraulics in the front and rear.
I have the hydraulic top n tilt three point hitch, would I be able to just use the three point hitch for adjustments?
Is the post driver easier to use on the loader or the 3 point hitch?
BTW, I priced a few contractors to install the fencing and for just driving the posts. Apparently there equipment must be made of gold...
