B7500 Kubota
I recently purchased a new B7500 with FEL. An o-ring has fallen out of all four cylinders. They look like maybe a wiper o-ring, no leaks. Is this normal?

I contacted the dealer today and they are sending out someone to inspect when the deliver my new ag tires.

Glenn1, this question comes up about once a month from new owners. Those O-rings are there to keep the paint off of the seal and rod. You can cut them off or just leave them.

Von, I suspect the dealers would save themselves a lot of questions if they'd just cut those o-rings off during "make ready" before delivery. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif And my Kubota dealer did; neither of my new Kubotas was delivered with those o-rings. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Bird, You are right, that should be part of the prep before being delivered! But both of my tractors had them still on! /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Guess it all depends on your dealer.

I reason sounds good, but the salesman at my dealer did not know this. Maybe he is new.

u would think that a dealer would know that, seems like as with a lot of things they are not prepped as they should be.

They should have the salesman work with the prep man for a week just so the salesman will learn about the product that they are selling. Many a salesman has never had much if any tractor seat time before going to work for the dealer. This is something that is new to the industry.. salespeople.. In the old days, the owner or one of the family was the sales person. Today, many have become more like car dealers.... bring in a profession salesman, and sell what is on the lot, not what the customers needs are. I might be jaded on my opinion of the salespeople today, but this was my experience when shopping for my tractor. Many of the sales people knew less about the tractors than I did after I took the time to learn about it. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
