Just wondering if anyone else has experienced a problem I have sometimes. I have a TC29D with the 7308 loader, and I do alot of work in the woods (clearing brush, trees, etc), and occasionally, I will drive over a stump or a log and my loader stand structure will hit it and bend. Then I have to bend it back. To me, it seems like really poor design that the loader stand hangs down that low. ANyone else done this? Any ideas for a fix?

I guess I have the same setup and have never had the problem. I have cleared a whole bunch of my property with it. Maybe I am just lucky. Gee that would be a first living under the cloud of Murphy's Law. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

If you insist on driving over stuff that big, you will do damage. Better the loader frame than hydraulic lines, filters, and electrical wiring. Logs and brush should be pushed with the loader, not driven over. Stumps should be cut low enough not to cause damage, ground off, or dug out. Most operators have "moments" with results such as yours; myself included. Multiple occurances speak to the mindset of the operator. Compact tractors are not log skidders or bulldozers. If you continue to use yours as you describe, you may do serious damage to the equipment or yourself. Pay attention.

I agree with the others, you need to be more careful with your machine. If you want to drive over stumps that big you need to get a bigger tractor. I have never hit anything with the stand on my 7308 mounted to a 1920. But like Rick said, if it was higher you would have a lot more damage to things that are messy and a pain to fix.

try and replace the front bumper with the one on the TC30 they are about $70 or so and dont hang down. I have done this on several tractors for customers
